Miller Construction Company Fast Tracks Dos Caminos Restaurant Build-Out

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. –  Miller Construction Company recently completed a six-week build-out of the new Dos Caminos restaurant within the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel for Starwood Capital Group.  The restaurant is the sixth location, and the first in Florida, for restaurateur Stephen Hanson’s Dos Caminos brand. 


The Miller team cordoned off the restaurant's portion of the hotel's fully operational kitchen with barrier walls, chipped through the structural slab to run new plumbing lines and fully customized the Dos Caminos cooking area. Avoiding any impact on hotel operations, the Florida construction company's team also created a richly textured restaurant interior that reflects the Dos Caminos credo of "old Mexico meets modern cuisine." As in Dos Caminos' popular New York and Las Vegas locations, the Fort Lauderdale space showcases one-of-a-kind works by rising artists, such as photography by Murray Hall and mural overlays and free-flowing graffiti from artist Benedict dos Remedios. Designed by Hanson's BR Guest Restaurants, the restaurant features rustic, reclaimed wood and vintage iron railings.
