Miller Construction Completes The Easton Group’s Hialeah Gardens Industrial Center
Next-generation industrial space to serve increased e-commerce demand in Miami-Dade County
Miller Construction Company, a statewide, privately-held construction firm, has completed the 265,985-square-foot Hialeah Gardens Industrial Center for The Easton Group and LBA Logistics. The $15.2 million project is located on 16.8 acres in Hialeah stretching from NW 107 Avenue west to NW 109 Avenue, and from NW 142 Street north to NW 144 Street. Construction began in March 2021.
The center meets rising demand for industrial space from distribution, logistics and e-commerce companies in Miami, which grew tremendously during the pandemic.
Hialeah Gardens Industrial Center’s prime location gives tenants easy access to the state’s major thoroughfares as it is close to Florida’s Turnpike, I-75, U.S. 27 and the Miami International Airport.
“We are excited to bring this project to a close and believe in the long-term value of this asset,” said Dalton Easton of The Easton Group. “Pre-leasing the entire building and delivering it according to schedule further proves that we had a solid business plan in place with the right team on board. Miller Construction was an integral part of this project’s success.”
To achieve the developer’s goal of adding volume for potential tenants, Miller worked closely with the project’s structural engineer, McVeigh Mangum of Jacksonville, to raise the building’s clear height to 36 feet. A customized tilt-wall-panel design solution provided significant savings, according to Miller Construction President Brian Sudduth. Miller’s precise tilt-wall and structural steel estimates during preconstruction helped the client manage overall cost and improved the project’s efficiency.
“Our goal is to deliver the best possible product to our client with their needs and interests in mind,” Sudduth said. “It was a true pleasure working with The Easton Group on our first project together and we look forward to many more in the future.”
The project team includes architect Ware Malcomb of Miami, Thomas Engineering Group of Fort Lauderdale (civil) and GM Consulting Engineers of Miami (MEP).
