With U.S. demand growing for Cosmo International Fragrances’ custom-formulated products, the firm has contracted Miller Construction Company to fully renovate a 93,955-square-foot production, distribution and office facility within Newport Center business park in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

Renovation of the building, located at 1341 West Newport Center Drive, is underway for December completion, according to Miller senior vice president Brian Sudduth. Cosmo International, which formulates and develops fragrances for customers worldwide, will transfer its South Florida production and office locations to the new building.  In addition to reconfiguring the interior’s manufacturing and warehouse space for more efficient workflow, Miller will expand a concrete mezzanine, construct a complex roof structure and install interior air quality monitoring and exhaust systems geared for space where various fine, personal care, home and household fragrances will be created.

“With highly detailed engineering of the roof structure and mechanical systems, smooth coordination among all project team members is a key to fast-tracking this project,” said Sudduth. The design/build and construction services firm draws on its decades of experience delivering specialized manufacturing, mission critical and technical facilities as well as distribution space for a wide range of regional and national clients. Architect for the project is FSMY Architects. KAMM Consulting is providing engineering for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and structural engineer is MUEngineers, Inc.

Cosmo International Fragrances also has a corporate office/creative center in Fort Lauderdale and operates additional facilities in Europe and the Americas, with sales offices and distributors worldwide.
