Sherwin-Williams Distribution Center
Miller Construction completed the expansion and renovation of the Sherwin-Williams Distribution Service Center in Winter Haven, delivering a large-scale, multi-phase project within an active 24-hour logistics environment.
The project added more than 296,000 square feet of new space, including two warehouses, a truck maintenance facility, a trailer maintenance building, and modern administrative offices, along with upgrades to the existing office footprint. Work spanned approximately 24 acres of the 40-acre site, significantly expanding the operational capacity of the existing facility.
Designed to support future growth and advanced logistics systems, the expansion incorporated specialized structural and MEP solutions, including a high-performance, fiber-reinforced concrete slab engineered for future automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), expanded clear heights up to 49 feet, and integrated infrastructure to support robotics and advanced distribution technology.
Executing construction within a fully operational facility required a highly coordinated, phased approach. Miller managed complex logistics, including multiple access points, continuous truck traffic, and workforce circulation, while maintaining uninterrupted operations throughout the duration of the project. Additional scope included the installation of underground stormwater storage systems, electrical upgrades, and supporting infrastructure to enhance long-term performance and sustainability.
This project reflects Miller Construction’s ability to deliver large-scale industrial facilities with precision, innovation, and seamless coordination – particularly in active, high-demand environments.
