Vista BMW Service & Garage

Vista BMW Service Garage is a 52,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art service facility.  This two-story tilt wall structure was completed in two phases, to adjoin the new service garage to the BMW showroom. The first story features 18-foot ceilings supported by precast joists and the second phase is comprised of the demolition of the dealership’s existing service garage, allowing room for structural additions that included a vehicle ramp to the second level and open-air, canopied parking.

The first phase of the new service facility was completed with 30 service stalls, a two-story parts department, a breakroom, and a full locker room.  When the first phase of construction was complete, the owner moved from the south building to the new service building. Miller then demolished the south building and built phase two, which consisted of the photobooth and detail bays, the ramp to gain access to the canopied roof, and additional paved parking on the ground.

The project property was bordered on three sides by FPL power lines, creating a potential hazard for construction equipment. Miller Construction championed the task of developing a safety management program and worked with certified safety consultants and our experienced superintendents to ensure the safety of employees and customers in the Vista BMW showroom, which continued its normal business operations during construction.
