Derek Prince

As Chief Financial Officer, Derek is a member of Miller’s Leadership Team and participates in quarterly and annual leadership summits, helping to establish goals and keep financial strategies in line with overall company initiatives.  He also leads our accounting team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively.

Derek, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from Florida Atlantic University with Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Marketing.  He has 30 years of experience in the private industry and started at Miller Construction as Controller, overseeing accounts payable and receivable and preparation of monthly financial statements. He was promoted to CFO when his predecessor retired.

Derek is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association. When he’s not crunching numbers, Derek enjoys time with his wife, April and their two adult children boating or motorcycle riding.
